At the Park Hotel Tokyo, we welcome our guests with hospitality in the form of "arrangement", one of Japan's aesthetic values, expressed through the medium of art. As part of this initiative, we hold a series of art exhibitions, "ART colours", representing the four seasons of Japan. The 2022 Summer - Autumn Exhibition will be by Ginza Galleries, a voluntary organization of galleries in Ginza. From a list of about 40 galleries, 8 galleries have voluntarily lined up extraordinary artworks to decorate the Atrium of Park Hotel Tokyo.
In summer, we feel clear blue skies, pure white clouds, and passionate suns, while in autumn, also known as "Irodori Zuki" (meaning colorful month for the color of the leaves on the trees), the changing and diverse scenes flow like the wind and the forms of nature change day by day. To show our admiration for the season, varieties of artworks that exist in the "Here and Now" are selected for the exhibition.
The genre of artworks includes painting, sculpture, and crafts. The participating artists range from young 20s to veterans in their 70s, and the highlight is the fresh expression that belies their age. Dynamic, lovely, precise, humorous, and exhilarating are only a few words to describe their artworks.
