Throughout the year, Park Hotel Tokyo holds series of art exhibitions “ART colours” representing the four seasons of Japan.
In the summer with the highest temperature of the four seasons, you can enjoy traditional Mikoshi (carrying a portable
shrine on your shoulders) and Hayashi (playing on Japanese instruments), and there are many greatest days such as
Bon Odori (Japanese festival dance), Ennichi (street festival), Tanabata festival (star festival holds in July) and Noryo
Sai (summer festival in the cool of the evening) in the summer. “Hareno Hi” is an auspicious extraordinary days against
the backdrop of the four seasons and culture of Japan.
Due to the changing times and values, the days of Japanese traditional good culture have been decreasing in demand
and customs these days. It can be said that this change has made the extraordinary life blends into the everyday life,
making the everyday life extraordinary, and blurring the line between everyday life and extraordinary life.
Donʼ t you think that it is the time to reconsider the everyday life around us in this era when the everyday life and
extraordinary life are vague?
The main artwork of this summer exhibition is “Nankuru Naisa “ drawn by artist Mika Chiba. In the Okinawa dialect,
it means that if you work hard to get on the right path, someday a good day will come to you.
By interacting with artworks drawing everyday life, you may discover a new Hareno Hi (the greatest day).
We hope that Hareno Hi like summer shinning sky will reach you through this summer exhibition.
